What Are Hotspots ?

Hotspots

Hotspots are specific geographic locations of places to fish. All Hotspots are marked with a latitude and longitude coordinate so that they can be located and displayed on a map.

WIKI
Hotspots are a simple wiki whereby anyone can not only create new locations, but edit, update and correct the content. Most spots are not top secret, and appear in many publications. Rather than trying to publish them in book form, we prefer to have fishermen share them amongst themselves at no cost to anyone.

The Hotspot images are simple links to photos you may have elsewhere on teh internet. There is nothing to upload.

You have to be a georec member, but it takes only a minute or two create a new hotspot. give it a try.

Editing Geosites

  Creating   Updating

To create a new hotspot, you need to know where the location is on the map. There are tools to help locate the spot.

You have to know what town and country/state it is in. The description should tell others at least the basic information about the place.

For guides or other business owners, you can create Hotspots to attract visitors to your neck of the woods. this works particularly well for small strores off the beaten path.

If you find something outdated about a site, you can edit and save the text. A moderator will review and accept the changes.

Changes will be updated when the moderator approves the change.

You can post a comment or report of conditions, at any time. The comments section of each hotspot can become a mini forum at times.

If you're visiting a new area of the country or the world, a Hotspot search can help you quickly find a place to fish.
